Muon S1 ARTEMIS General purpose μSR spectrometer

Summary

Muon irradiation experiments for Materials and Life Science using positive muon (μ+) as a sensitive probe in the atomic scale.

Research ObjectivesMuon spin rotation/relaxation (μSR) measurements for electronic property of materials and/or electronic state of hydrogen introduced to the material.
FeaturesμSR spectrometer with a fixed momentum pulsed positive muons.
Measurements likewise at D1 is possible, except under pressure and at extreme low temperature.
Specification of S1 experimental area and the spectrometer is subject to change without notice, due to project usage by Muon S-type proposal (2013MS01).
