R&D for computational envrionment in J-PARC MLF

Instruments control

IROHA2

IROHA2 is the software framework for the instrument control in MLF. IROHA2 has been supported more than 50 devices, introduced to the several instruments and already used in users’ experiments.

For proper role-sharing of software, IROHA2 consists of four software components as follows:

  • Device control server: operating, monitoring and logging devices
  • Instrument management server: measurement management, configuration of an instrument and user authentication
  • Sequence management server : automatic measurement
  • Integrate control server : administration of an instrument and monitoring from outside of MLF

Data analysis(Reduction)

Manyo Library

Manyo Library is a standard framework for developing data analysis software and has been working on the 16 instruments in J-PARC, MLF. Manyo Library is a C++ framework and class library which was designed so as to handle large scale data in high-performance. The class library is wrapped by the Python user interface created by SWIG. Users can perform data reduction and analysis on the C++ library through the Python interface.

Manyo Library is available on various operating systems: Linux, MacOSX and Windows. The binary installer and packages has been prepared.

Utsusemi

Utsusemi is the series of software to analyze and visualize the neutron scattering data observed at MLF. MLF had adopt event recording method for the data acquisition system (DAQ). This method provides higher flexibility and efficiency for both the measurement and analysis way for MLF users. Utsusemi had achieved to treat the event data since early stage of MLF and put good results. Especially, we have successfully contributed to realize the multi-Ei method in the inelastic scattering for the first time in the world. Now many beam lines in MLF decide to introduce Utsusemi to treat event data.

Utsusemi includes also many other functions about data correction and visualization codes, which can be executed on the graphical user interface.

Utsusemi is running on Linux, Windows 7, 8.2, X with 64bit and MacOS X 10.10(Yosemite), 10.11(El Capitan), 10.12 (macOS Sierra). For Windows and MacOS , only the binary packages are available.

MLFの準弾性散乱データを解析(モデル関数によりフィッティング)するためのソフトウェアである。

Z-Code, Z-Rietveld

J-PARCの中性子回折装置群を用いた構造科学のフロンティア研究を行う目的で、構造解析法の研究を進めると同時に、茨城県等の支援を受けて結晶学的解析支援パッケージZ-Codeを開発中である。Z-Rietveldの Mac OS X版(β版)のみが利用者向けに配布されている。
